Our Organic Produce
We grow lots of lovely food. We are a little farm in the grand scheme of things but we grow a lot of stuff.
I have big plans. Always do. And then the weather happens. And then blight, and mildew, and bugs. For some reason though we always seem to grow at least something and a lot of it.
I don't grow the boring stuff either. I have fun carrots - all different colors, and multicolored chards. Heirloom tomatoes that are all sizes, shapes and colors. Eggplants are white, purple, lavender, green and striped. Lettuces you have never seen before at any market because they are too tender. I grow things I like and that are fun. Can you tell I get excited about this stuff? I do.
Last year was the year of the very wet soil....nothing really grew well. The wet soil actually rotted out the raspberries, and some of my pernenniel plantings. The end result? Almost no asparagus. No raspberries or blackberries. So each year we plan and plant and see what we get...
